Im Handel sind legal nur Crotaphytus collaris, Crotaphytus bicinctores und Crotaphytus vestigium erhältlich. Leider werden häufig falsch deklarierte Tiere als insularis angeboten. Es ist allerdings verboten diese Tiere aus Mexiko auszuführen.
